Welcome to the world of Krafty Twins & Doubles!
I have been sewing and crafting for years. I have an identical twin sister that I get to craft and sew with sometimes and that is how the name came about.
The first project was napkin/silverware holders. The goal was to create a table decoration that would be fun, colorful and unique for any occasion but not take up alot of space to store. I have styles for most any holiday.
In addition, the pattern for "microwave mitts" was found and they work really well for taking bowls out of the microwave. They can also be used for the oven. Microwave mitts (potholders) come as either the large round or the "Jr" oval. Sold in sets of 2.
While getting ready for a Spring craft fair we started making fleece bunnies. They do multiply quickly! After looking at all the scraps the idea for the bowl bunnies came about - perfect for little hands to hold onto in the car or stroller. They also make a fun decoration grouped in a bowl with all their different colors.
A co-worker asked about ideas to make a keepsake from her dad's flannel shirts after he passed away. After searching the Memory Bear was suggested and they have taken off from there. I can make an 18, 22 or 26 inch bear. I have used bathrobes, nightgowns, ties and flannel shirts. If you don't have an item to use I can get fabric that would best represent your memory - with color or a pattern etc. just me know.
Small mitten door hangers are fun for the holidays and don't damage the door. Christmas stockings are a unique way to add to the holiday gift ideas.
Round has become a theme for the kitchen items - not everything has to be square or rectangular so look for the round kitchen towels, potato steamers and the larger round microwave mitt along with the Jr. mitt.
Have fun looking around the site and check out the specials and friends links.
